TIGERS GET SECOND STRAIGHT EASY WIN AGAINST MINNESOTA

Detroit romped to an easy, 7-2 win behind Jack Morris(17-6). The Tigers ace looked like a cinch to notch his fifth shutout, but he ran out of gas in the ninth, allowing doubles to Gary Gaetti and Bobby Castillo, along with an rbi single to Randy Bush. Aurelio Lopez finished up the rest of the way.

A pesky John Wockenfuss drew three walks and Marty Castillo smacked a two run double. Glenn Wilson hit a pair of doubles and a single, increasing his consecutive game hit streak to 13, tying Lou Whitaker and Larry Herndon for the season high. The series concludes today.
