JACK MORRIS NOTCHES FIFTH SHUTOUT WIN FOR TIGERS
Detroit took two of three from the Texas Rangers, capped off by another outstanding pitching performance by Jack Morris.
Morris held the Rangers to just four hits in the 4-0 win. He struck out 8 and walked only one. It was his 11th complete game win this season.
Chet Lemon paced the offense with his team leading 17th home run, along with a pair of singles.
The Tigers return home to play a make up game with Chicago, then they welcome the Toronto Blue Jays to town.
