3 RUN EIGHTH INNING PUSHES TIGERS PAST BLUE JAYS

A double by Enos Cabell and singles by Glenn Wilson and Wayne Krenchicki were the focal point, as Detroit scored three runs in the bottom of the eighth, to defeat the Toronto Blue Jays, 4-2.

Winning pitcher, Matt Wilcox(8-12) took a 4-0 lead into the top of the eighth, when Lloyd Moseby clubbed a two run homer to halve the lead. Aurelio Lopez came on, finished the eighth and pitched a scoreless ninth, to earn a save.
