Detroit overcame a 5-1 deficit, thanks to Lance Parrish(15) and Glenn Wilson(5) both hitting three run homeruns. Wilson’s blast came in the sixth, with Larry Herndon and Chet Lemon, off starter, Doyle Alexander; while Parrish tagged reliever, Joey McLaughlin, who had walked Alan Trammell and Kirk Gibson, before Parrish sent the first pitch he saw from McLaughlin into the seats.
