PIRATES MOVE TO 6-0 WITH TWIN BILL SWEEP OF REDS

Bucs third sacker, Wally Bockman(2) homered in both games of a double header against the Reds, helping the Pirates remain unbeaten, as they won, 6-2 and 2-1.

Bockman’s two run shot in game two was the game winning blow. Cliff Chambers(1-0) was the winning pitcher in the first contest, while Vic Lombardi(1-0) captured the victory in game two.

Ralph Kiner cooled off a bit from his red hot start. Kiner doubled in his first at bat, but went 0-7 after that.
