PIRATES END SKID WITH 7-4 WIN OVER GIANTS

Pittsburgh ended their five game losing streak by beating the New York Giants, 7-4. Most of the runs came late in this game, with the Pirates scoring 6 runs over the final four innings and the Giants getting 3 runs in the final two frames.

Ralph Kiner(8) homered and Wally Westlake tripled in the win.
