June 2. Gm# 42 Braves Field Pittsburgh 3 Boston 2
TINY BONHAM IS TERRIFIC IN SPOT START
Usually used out of the bullpen, Tiny Bonham got a 3-2, complete game four hitter against Boston, to give Pittsburgh their second win against a tough opponent.
Bonham was staked to a 3-0 lead in the first, when Clyde McCullough hit a two run double. Tiny then helped his own cause with a single that plated the Bucs backstop.
The Braves got a run in the bottom of the first, but didn’t score again until Bob Elliott’s solo home run in the seventh.
National League scores: St. Louis 7 Brooklyn 4; Chicago 3 New York 0; Philadelphia 12, Cincinnati 3.
