Ralph Kiner hit his (21) homerun, and is now ahead of the record pace of Babe Ruth(60), as well as being ahead of the pace of Hank Greenberg(58) and Jimmie Foxx(58).
Ed Stevens, Danny Murtaugh and Dixie Walker all had two hits apiece. Bill Werle(3-6) earned the win. New York made it interesting late, scoring twice off Ray Poat, before Hugh Casey came in to get the final out of the game.
