PHIL MASI WINS IT FOR BUCS WITH 2 RUN TRIPLE IN NINTH
With Pittsburgh trailing, 3-2, Phil Masi stroked a two run triple in the bottom of the ninth inning, giving the Pirates a dramatic win over Philadelphia. Harry Gumbert(1-1) was the winner out of the bullpen.
In addition, Ralph Kiner hit his 26th home run in the sixth inning.
