BUCS-GIANTS SPLIT TWINBILL.

Murray Livingston hit a two run, pinch hit home run off of Murray Dickson(4-8), as the New York Giants defeated the Pittsburgh Pirates, 6-4, in the first of two at the Polo Grounds.

Wes Westrum also homered for the Giants. Ralph Kiner hit his 34th for the Pirates.

The second game, which was a make up from yesterday’s washout, was won by Pittsburgh, 4-2.

Wally Westlake , hit 3 legs of the cycle, with a single, double and home run(12).

Vic Lombardi(3-3) earned his first complete game, gutting out a win, in which he allowed seven hits and seven walks.
