GIANTS EDGE PIRATES, 3-2 AT POLO GROUNDS
Pittsburgh dropped a close one with the New York Giants, losing 3-2 in the Polo Grounds.
Vic Lombardi(5-5) worked seven innings, giving up all three Giant runs. The Bucs were unable to score until Dixie Walker singled in Stan Rojek and Ed Stevens in the top of the eighth inning.
