A’S ALEX KELLNER BEATS BOSTON BOTH ON THE MOUND AND AT THE PLATE

Philadelphia’s Alex Kellner won a 3-2 decision on the mound against the Red Sox and also hit a two run double, which gave his team the lead for good, in the sixth inning.

Along with that double, losing pitcher, Joe Dobson(0-1) gave up a homer to Eddie Joost.

Ted Williams(1) hit his first homerun of the year, a solo shot, in the top of the sixth. Boston takes two out of three and has their home opener against the New York Yankees, tomorrow.
