RED SOX PUT IT ALL TOGETHER IN THEIR BEST GAME OF THE SEASON

The Boston Red Sox were firing on all cylinders as they bombed the Cleveland Indians, 12-0.

Every aspect of the game, batting, pitching and fielding, was par excellence. Joe Dobson(2-2) pitched a four hit shutout, with four strikeouts and three walks. The Red Sox pounded out 14 hits, with Dom DiMaggio and Al Zarilla each having three hit days. Those two players, along with Vern Stephens scored three runs apiece.

Ted Williams(9), Stephens(6) and Zarilla(3) hit homeruns. In addition, the fielding was great. Boston committed no errors, and turned two double plays.

It was the sixth straight win for the Red Sox.
