Frank Quinn(9-5) couldn’t get it done in relief, allowing two Chicago runs in the top of the ninth, as the White Sox beat the Red Sox, 7-5, ending a six game win streak for Boston.

Ted Williams(28) homered for the fourth game straight, a two run shot in the bottom of the fourth inning, however, Boston was held scoreless after that.
