BUCCOS BANG OUT 17 HITS FOR 2SD STRAIGHT GAME

Pittsburgh’s offense was firing on all cylinders as they rapped out seventeen hits against the Redlegs for the second straight game, this time, in an 8-2 win.

Bob Skinner(1) and Bill Mazeroski(1) collected their first homers of the year. Don Hoak and Roberto Clemente stayed hot, with three hits apiece.

On the mound, Vinegar Bend Mizzell(1-0) earned the win, going seven innings. Wally Post’s two run clout in the fourth was the Pirate starter’s only stumble.

The two teams finish up this series with a double header tomorrow.
