BULLETIN: CLEMENTE HIT BY JOE NUXHALL PITCH; INJURED AND LEFT GAME
Pittsburgh right fielder, Roberto Clemente was hit in the head by a pitch from Joe Nuxhall of the Cincinnati Reds. He collapsed to the ground and was carried off the field. Gino Cimoli replaced Clemente for the Pirates who were leading in the game, the first of a double header at Forbes Field.
