BUCS CHASE KOUFAX EARLY IN 5-3 WIN

Pittsburgh won their latest series with Los Angeles, two games to three. They beat fireballer, Sandy Koufax and the Dodgers, 5-3 in the last of three games at Dodger Stadium.

The Pirates tagged Koufax for five runs, chasing him after four and a third innings. Joe Christopher(1) made up for a first inning error by blasting a three run homer in the top of the fifth. Roberto Clemente, Rocky Nelson and Don Hoak added doubles in the win.

Pittsburgh is off tomorrow, as the team heads east to play the Milwaukee Braves.
