BUCS EDGE CARDS IN ELEVEN INNINGS
Trailing 3-1, Pittsburgh scored twice in the top of the ninth, when they tagged St. Louis starter, Larry Jackson for four straight hits.
Dick Stuart’s(9) two run clout in the top of the eleventh, put the Bucs up 5-3. Pitcher of record, Jim Umbricht(1-2) issued a one out, solo shot to Ken Boyer, in the home half of the eleventh inning, then Elroy Face came in to put out the fire.
Don Hoak was 3-5 with a walk and Bob Skinner(4) also homered as the Pirates outhit the Cards, 14-7.
