Clippers 15 Comets 3. It was a full on massacre, as the Clippers erupted for fifteen runs against the Comets, eight of those against starter, Robin Roberts. For the first time in Stratball history, two players on the same team, in the same game, hit grand slams. Ted Williams and Jimmie Foxx turned the trick, and to boot, they each had two homeruns each. Mad Dogs 2 Sultans 1. After Tris Speaker hit a game tying homerun off Roger Clemens, in the bottom of the eighth, Pudge Rodriguez went yard in the top of the ninth off Herb Pennock, allowing the Mad Dogs to edge the Sultans.
