These two clubs split their most recent doubleheader, each team winning a close, one run ball game. The Comets, 3-2 victory in game one ended a six game win streak for the Naturals. Robin Roberts worked seven innings to earn the win. He got help from Gil Hodges, who belted a pair of homers, and from Norm Siebern, who hit one. WP-Robins Roberts(2-2) LP-Clayton Kershaw(1-3). The Naturals got their revenge in game two, in walkoff fashion. Dustin Pedroia doubled in Mike Trout with the winning run in the bottom of the ninth, for a 2-1 Naturals win. Herb Score and Billy Pierce combined to allow just three hits, but they did issue eight walks, seven of those by Score. WP-Mark Melancon(2-0) LP-Billy Pierce(0-3).
