Sultans 8 Hammers 0. In the lone game on today’s schedule, Dazzy Vance tossed a four hit shutout against the Hammers, in an 8-0 win. It was Vance’s second shutout of the year. He stuck out five and walked just one batter. Vance did his part with the stick as well, getting two hits in four at bats. George Sisler, Tris Speaker and Joe Jackson all had doubles; Roger Hornsby homered. It was a Jekyll and Hyde type of game for shortstop, Ray Chapman.
