Comets 4 Hammers 3. Norm Siebern’s two run homerun in the bottom of the third inning, his second long ball of the game, proved to be the difference in a 4-3 Comets victory over the Hammers. Hank Aaron continues his sizzling pace, going 4-5, with a homerun. Despite going eight innings and fanning ten, a struggling Sandy Koufax lost again. WP-Whitey Ford(4-2). LP-Sandy Koufax(1-5). HR-Hank Aaron(9); Ken Boyer(6), Norm Siebern 2(10).

Clippers 5 Peaches 4 10 inn. Mark McGwire had two homeruns and a single; Barry Bonds had three hits and scored four runs. HR-Mike Trout(6); Mark McGwire 2(16).

In the B squad game, the Nats got their revenge, thanks to a brilliant pitching performance from Adam Wainwright.
