Peaches 8 Terrifics 3. The Peaches took both ends of a doubleheader against the Terrifics. Game one saw Walter Johnson beating Fergie Jenkins. Clippers 8 Naturals 2. The Clippers won their eighth straight game, beating the Naturals, 8-2 and extending their lead to 3.5 games over the second place, Mad Dogs. The Clippers got to Justin Verlander for five runs over two innings. WP-Schoolboy Rowe(4-2). LP-Justin Verlander(3-3). HR-Stan Musial(14), Joe DiMaggio(9); Robinson Cano(5).

Comets 3 Mad Dogs 2. The Comets held off the Mad Dogs for a 3-2 win. Barry Bonds homered in the bottom of the ninth, but the Dogs fell a run short.
