Mad Dogs 1 Comets 0 The B squad game saw Al Leiter earn his first win and shutout on the same day. The Comets’ Bob Turley pitched pretty well himself, actually allowing fewer hits(3 to 4) than Leiter, but a homerun by Albert Belle proved to be the game’s only run. WP-Al Leiter(1-3).
