Naturals 8 Comets 5. The Naturals trailed the Comets, 4-3, when a Mike Trout triple and an error by Early Wynn, led to a five run, fifth inning. MAD DOGS END CLIPPERS’ TEN GAME WIN STREAK

MC COVEY HR IN TOP OF 10TH, SENDS HAMMERS PAST TERRIFICS

MAGEE’S HR IS THE DIFFERENCE AS PEACHES EDGE SULTANS
Peaches 5 Sultans 4. Sherry Magee went deep for the Peaches, homering off Herb Pennock, in the top of the seventh, to give the Peaches an insurance run. That would prove to be key, as the Sultans plated a run of their own in the bottom of the seventh. However, that was as close as the Sultans would get. WP-Christy Mathewson(4-2).
