MAD DOGS GAIN A HALF GAME WITH TWINBILL SPLIT VS HAMMERS
Mad Dogs 4 Hammers 3. The Mad Dogs jumped out to a 4-0 lead, then held on for dear life as the Hammers scored three runs in the top of the eighth, but ultimately came out on top, 4-3, in the first of two games.

Hammers 6 Mad Dogs 5. In the wild second game, the Hammers took a 4-0 advantage into the bottom of the fourth, but the Mad Dogs exploded for five runs, capped by a Mark McGwire, pinch hit grand slam.

SEAVER BEATS SCHOOLBOY ROWE TO EARN FIRST COMPLETE GAME WIN
Terrifics 6 Clippers 1. It’s been a rough year for Tom Seaver, but he put it all together to beat Schoolboy Rowe and the first place Clippers, 6-1. Seaver earned his first complete game victory, allowing only two hits and striking out eleven. With a five run lead, Seaver was allowed to try for the complete game, despite walking the bases loaded, in the ninth. He struck out Lou Gehrig to end the ballgame. WP-Tom Seaver(8-10). COMETS POWER PAST SULTANS BEHIND MANTLE AND BANKS

BENCHES CLEAR AS THREE PEACHES ARE HIT WITH PITCHES IN 2-1 PEACHES WIN
Peaches 2 Naturals 1. Eddie Collins, Ty Cobb and Chief Meyers were all plunked by Naturals pitchers, setting off a bench clearing brawl, after Aldrois Chapman hit Cobb in the ninth inning. Collins, who has been hit more times than any Legends League player and Meyers, were both hit by starter, Max Scherzer. WP-Ed Walsh(7-6). LP-Max Scherzer(11-6).
