BLASS, CLEMENTE, LEAD PIRATES TO 6-2 WIN OVER L.A.
Steve Blass(3-0) won his third straight decision and Roberto Clemente(1) went 2-4, with his first home run of the year, as the Pirates defeated the Dodgers, 6-2.
Blass went seven innings in the victory. Along with Clemente, Vic Davallilo and Richie Hebner had two hits each. Gene Alley(1) also homered for the first time this season.
Pittsburgh goes for the sweep tomorrow, as Al Downing faces Neil Walker.
