ROBERTSON BELTS TWO HOME RUNS TO LEAD PIRATES PAST PADRES
The Pirates won their fifth straight game, thanks to Bob Robertson(7), who clubbed two homers and Bob Johnson(1-0), who pitched seven strong innings, as Pittsburgh defeated the San Diego Padres, 6-2, to open a three game series.
Roberto Clemente continues to be unstoppable at the plate. He chipped in with a 3 for 5 day, with a double, two runs scored and an rbi.
The Buccos will try to make it six straight tomorrow, as Bob Moose takes on Clay Kirby.
