BUCCOS BACK ON TRACK WITH 5-2 WIN OVER DODGERS
One day after San Francisco ended the Pirates eight game win streak; the team bounced right back, with a 5-2 victory over Los Angeles.
The Dodgers are yet to beat the Pirates this year. Pittsburgh swept them three games earlier in the season at home. Bob Johnson(2-0) went seven innings and Mudcat Grant took over after that. Bob Robertson(9) and Al Oliver(5) each clubbed home runs for Pittsburgh; Jim Levebvre had one for L.A. Don Sutton was the losing pitcher.
Game two of the series pits Nelson Briles against Al Downing.
