STARGELL DRIVES IN FIVE, AS BUCS BEAT CUBS, 7-4
Willie Stargell and Al Oliver hit back to back home runs in the bottom of the second inning and later in the game, Stargell hit a sacrifice fly and then tripled and scored, as Pittsburgh won their second straight against Chicago.
Ron Santo and Ernie Banks both homered for Chicago and the Cubs actually led, 4-3, after six innings, however Pittsburgh rallied for four runs in the bottom of the seventh, to take the lead. Dave Cash chipped in with three hits, scoring twice. WP-Nellie Briles(4-0). LP-Joe Decker. HR-Willie Stargell(14), Al Oliver(9); Ernie Banks, Ron Santo.
