JULY REVIEW
Pittsburgh had another successful month as they try for the National League East crown. They are in first place and held a 6.5 game lead over the St. Louis Cardinals as the month of July came to a close.

Willie Stargell was named Player of the Month. He batted .355 for July, with 10 home runs. He had 11 runs batted in over a two game span, on July 2sd and 3rd.
