Bruce Kison pitched his fourth shutout of the season and Willie Stargell and Richie Hebner both hit home runs, as Pittsburgh beat Montreal, 4-0. The pattern of losing a game, then winning the next continues, but the Pirates hope to break that pattern in the final game of the series and make it two wins in a row. Nelson Briles will take on Steve Renko. Chicago was kind enough to shut out St. Louis, 7-0, allowing Pittsburgh to gain a full game back in the standings. WP-Bruce Kison(4-1). LP-Ernie McAnally.
