For the second straight day, the Philadelphia Athletics have put up double figures in runs. Yesterday, they beat the Yankees, 14-8 and today, they pounded the Washington Senators, 12-4.
Josh Gibson and Bob Johnson both homered; Gibson drove in four runs, Johnson, three. Ray Dandridge added three hits and three runs batted in.
Satchel Paige earned his third straight win, however, he only went five and a third innings, with Lum Harris going the last three and two thirds innings.
