Philadelphia scored three runs in the top of the ninth inning, off Indians’ reliever, Joe Heving and went on to beat Cleveland, 5-2. Rookie sensation, Fred Caligiuri collected his ninth win against no defeats.

It was Caligiuri vs Feller for much of the game, as each starter went eight innings. Josh Gibson put the Athletics up, 2-1, with his fifteenth homer in the top of the eighth, but Cleveland tied the game in the bottom of that inning. After Feller left, the A’s rallied to get three tallies off Heving, putting the game out of reach.
