Benny McCoy drilled a two run single, which scored two runs in the bottom of the ninth, as Philadelphia pulled a game out of the fire, in a 9-8, comeback win against Cleveland.
The Athletics led seven to two after six innings, but Cleveland mounted a late charge, scoring six runs over the last three innings. James Bell was 4-5, at the top of the order, while Josh Gibson stroked his 18th homer.
