Charlie “King Kong” Keller, homered twice and drove in every one of the Yankees runs as the defeated Philadelphia, 5-4.
That makes six straight wins for New York, while the skidding Athletics have lost four in a row. Philadelphia had a ten game lead on June 28th, that margin has shrunk to just six games.
The Athletics will try to right the ship against the Boston Red Sox, who come into Shibe Park tomorrow.
