Bill Foster blanked the Senators 10-0, earning his fourth shutout of the year. He also joins the other three Athletics in the starting rotation, with double figures in wins.
Several regulars got a day of rest. Al Brancato replaced James Bell at the top of the order and came through with three hits and three runs scored. Buck Leonard, Bob Johnson and Josh Gibson all had two hits each. Foster added two hits, to go along with his fine pitching performance.
