Josh Gibson remains red hot, belting his fifth home run over the past eight games, as Philadelphia opened their road series against New York, with a 5-1 win. James”Cool Papa” Bell also went deep. Bill Foster grinded through eight innings, allowing ten hits, but only one run. Tom Ferrick worked the final inning.
The Athletics next have a double header with the Yanks. Fred Caligiuri will pitch the opener, the game two starter hasn’t been named.
