Bill Foster worked six plus innings, leaving with a 2-1 lead. Philadelphia then tacked on a third run in the top of the seventh, thanks to a Crash Davis sacrifice fly. Joe Williams then earned his fourth save by tossing three innings of no run, no hit ball.
The Athletics now head to St. Louis, kicking off a three game set, beginning with a double header.
