Trailing, 2-1, Orlando Cepeda made his first home run of the tour count, as he clubbed a three-run blast off Eddie Plank, in the top of the eighth inning. Joe Page and Mark Eichhorn finished things off for Kerry Wood, who worked seven innings It was a hard luck loss for Philadelphia’s Eddie Plank, who limited the Phenoms to just four hits. On a sour note, Phenoms second baseman, Dustin Pedroia, is 0-19, to start the tour.
