PHENOMS 3

WHITE SOX 2 10 INNINGS

WP-VEAN GREGG (1-0) LP-FRANK LANGE

HR-TROY TULOWITZKI (3)

Shonei Ohtani started and pitched five innings, allowing two runs on two hits. Troy Tulowitzki hit a two-run bomb in the first inning, giving the Phenoms the early lead. The White Sox got a run in the third and fifth, tying the game at two all. It would remain that way until the top of the tenth, when Joe Jackson singled, stole second and scored on a Tulowitzki single. Tulo was responsible for all the teams rbi’s.

Vean Gregg pitched brilliantly in relief, tossing four innings of scoreless ball. He earned the win and Mark Eichhorn worked the bottom of the tenth to earn his third save.

There was an odd event in this game. Frank Robinson hit two triples, one with no outs, yet was stranded on base both times.
