Jose Fernandez has pitched his second consecutive shutout, defeating the 1920 Washington Senators, 8-0. Jose has put together a 25 consecutive scoreless inning streak. In this game, he gave up just three hits, struck out six and issued two walks. In his previous start, Fernandez blanked the 1920 Boston Braves.
Offensively, Dustin Pedroia had a double and a triple and Troy Tulowitzki belted his fourth home run of the tour.
