The Phenoms opened the 1924 leg of their tour in style, by demolishing the Boston Red Sox, 13 to 4. It was the highest run total in a game, thus far, for the rookie sensations.

Frank Robinson led the charge in the offensive outburst. He was 4-6, with his team leading, eighth home run. He also tripled, scored three runs and drove in five runs. Joe Jackson and Orlando Cepeda also crossed the dish, three times each. Jackson had a triple and two doubles. Carlton Fisk added a three bagger as well.

The team rattled off six straight hits and a walk, enroute to a six run, eighth inning. The Phenoms actually trailed, 4-3 after three innings, but tied it in the top of the fourth and never looked back. Jose Fernandez pitched until the sixth, earning his fifth win against one loss. Joe Page had a good outing, tossing three innings of scoreless ball.
