The Phenoms took a wild, extra inning game from the 1934 Philadelphia Phillies, by scoring twice in the top of the twelfth inning, eventually winning, 6-4.
All three runs scored against Phenoms starter, Pete Alexander, were unearned. Orlando Cepeda had a tough day in the field, committing two errors at first base. He did, however, get a single in the fourth inning, to extend his hitting streak to 17 games. Speaking of streaks, Frank Robinson hit another home run. He has now homered in three straight games. Robby also had a pair of doubles in this one.
Not to be forgotten, is Cal Ripken, who hit a pair of home runs. He is the first Phenom player with a multi home run game, thus far on the tour.
