Following on the heels of Hideo Nomo’s three hit shutout; Vean Gregg pitched a five hit, whitewash, to defeat the 1934 Cincinnati Reds, 6-0. It is the first time that Phenoms pitchers have put up back-to-back shutout wins.
Gregg allowed five hits, struck out five and walked four, in his outing. Also, Frank Robinson hit a home run and now has a circuit clout in three straight games.
