Jose Fernandez started against Cleveland’s Bob Feller and pitched six and two third innings of scoreless ball, but he walked two batters as he worked the seventh and reached his point of weakness. Mark Eichhorn took over and kept the 1941 Indians off the board for the remainder of the game, in the 2-0 win.
Fernandez joins Kerry Wood, who lost for the first time yesterday, as the first two Phenoms pitchers to record double digit wins. Offensively, Eddie Murray led the team with three hits.
