Pete Alexander had skipped his previous start, due to a relief appearance, but the extra rest did him no good, as the 1941 Detroit Tigers won easily, 7-3.
Rudy York homered and added a single and a double, along with four rbi’s to lead the Tiger attack. Joe Jackson was the only Phenom’s player to have more than one hit. He had a single and a home run.
