With Vean Gregg facing off against Warren Spahn, the Phenoms trailed the 1949 Boston Braves, 4-2, heading into the seventh inning. Spahn loaded the bases, on a single, double and hit by pitch. He was relieved by Bobby Hogue, who promptly allowed a grand slam home run to Troy Tulowitzki. In total, the Phenoms put up a five spot in the seventh and went on to win, 7-4. Despite a somewhat shaky start, (Gregg walked seven batters) he earned his tenth win. Joe Page worked the final two innings to get his first save.
