1949 PHASE RECAP
The Phenoms finished the 1949 phase of their barnstorming tour, with a 12-4 record. That gives the team an overall record of 70-26. The four teams which beat the Phenoms were the Dodgers, the Phillies, the Tigers and the Cardinals. The most runs scored by the Phenoms in this phase, was 8, versus the Pirates. There was one shutout, pitched by Vean Gregg against the White Sox. There was only one extra inning game. That came against the Tigers, who won, 3-2, in eleven innings.
