The final score was 12-6 Phenoms, but so many crazy things happened along the way in this game. Vean Gregg was pitching a shutout, with a 10-0 lead, when the wheels came off in the bottom of the eighth. He gave up a leadoff single to Johnny Pesky, walked Ted Williams, then gave up a bases clearing triple to Vern Stephens. Bruce Sutter then took over for Gregg. He walked Billy Goodman on four pitches, before striking out Walt Dropo and Bobby Doerr, back-to-back. With two out, Clyde Vollmer drew another free pass, then catcher, Les Moss clubbed a grand slam, as the Red Sox matched the six spot, put up by the Phenoms. The visitors hit three two run home runs in the top of the fourth inning. Andrew Dawson belted a two-run home run in the ninth, to add to the lead. In all, there were seven home runs hit in this game. Troy Tulowitzki had two.
